In The Studio

Pippa began her career in documentary television. After producing, photographing and co-directing the double BAFTA award winning children’s series “Michaela’s Wild Challenge”, she made the move into full-time stills photography. Travelling extensively around the world as a photojournalist, Pippa’s commissions have included “A Day in the Life” for Discovery Channel – a study of a child in 10 countries. It was this inspiration that led her to start Pippa Mackenzie Photography and follow her love of capturing the real beauty of people. Her work has been featured in many of the UK’s leading magazines.

Pippa is inspired by photographers like Annie Leibovitz and Elliot Erwitt for their capacity to capture candid moments and reveal the intimacy of their subjects. Pippa had the honour of photographing Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday celebrations in Hyde Park in 2008.
